There has been a considerable decrease in telephone charges across the sites as the calls are now identified as local LAN extensions

Due to rapid expansion, Lektronix needed to show a presence in a number of new areas. By using VoIP technology and linking it to their existing Toshiba CIX100 Telephone System they are able to have numbers allocated locally, which are automatically routed back to Head office, if the remote office is unmanned or not answered within a predetermined time. Also Head Office can make outgoing calls as if they were at the remote office.

Biotec had a very specific wireless requirement, they needed a robust wireless solution to cover the whole of their premises, including inside numerous large chiller rooms. Standard Wireless Access Point were found to be ineffective for this application. By using the Meru range of WAPs and Controllers the whole site is covered for wireless communications. Also because of the unique Meru ATC control technology fewer access points were required.

During the severe weather conditions experienced last winter they found that their staff could not come into the office due to the snow. This meant that incoming calls could not be answered, and the office could not function effectively. By installing Toshiba IP handsets, staff can now make and receive calls remotely from their homes and by integrating with their computers, their customers will experience no loss of service.
